How to post a hand for evaluation using tracking software

The two most popular pieces of tracking software nowadays are Holdem Manager and PokerTracker.

• PokerTracker 4
• Holdem Manager 2

If you use PokerTracker 4, you can copy your hand history like this:

• Right-click your hand.
• Choose "View Hand Details".
• Go to the "Hand History Viewer" tab.
• Click the "2+2" button to copy your hand history to a forum compatible format.
• Post your hand in a new thread in the forum.

If you use Holdem Manager 2, it works in a very similar fashion.

• Right-click your hand.
• Choose "View"
• Under the "As" dropdown menu in the bottom-right corner, select "PokerStrategy".
• If you want, you can untick the "Hide hand notes" box to enter notes straight into the hand history, which will be copied as well.
• Click "Copy To Clipboard" to copy your hand history to a forum compatible format.
• Post your hand in a new thread in the forum.

Where are Hand Histories saved?

PokerStars

In order to have your Hand History saved on PokerStars:

• Go to the "Options" menu.
• Select "Instand Hand History Options".
• Check the "Save My Hands History" checkbox.
• Select a folder to save your Hand History, the time you want to keep them for, and the language of the Hand History.

When you have done this, you will be able to find your Hand History in the folder you selected.

iPoker

In order to have your Hand History saved on the iPoker network:

• Go to "Settings.
• Go to the "System" tab.
• Check the "Store Hand History Locally" checkbox.

Once this is done, your Hand History will be stored in C:\Poker\SiteName, so in the case of Poker770 the correct folder will be C:\Poker\Poker770.

MicroGaming

In order to have your Hand History saved on the MicroGaming network:

• Go to "Menu".
• Select "My Poker Account" -> "Hand History".
• Go to the "Configuration" tab.
• Make sure you have either "Store Hand History for the last X Days" or "Store Hand History for the last X Hands" checked.

Your Hand History will be stored in C:\Microgaming\Poker\SiteNameMPP in the GameHistory.Dat file. However, you will not be able to view this file with a normal text editor.

Instead, go to "My Poker Account" -> "Hand History" again and stay on the "View Hand History" tab. Here you can request the Hand History for an X number of days or hands.

PKR

In order to view your Hand History for PKR, go to C:\Program Files\PKR\handhistory

Here you can view your Hand History, sorted by date.
