This opponent in MP was a 31/19, 1.9 AF, not aware of position, 0% ft3b in 4 attempts 28%ftcb 25% checkraise on flops and 31% wtsd. This is a relatively small sample of 200 hands.

opponent had occasionally limped a few hands and I attempted to isolate, but he rarely liked to fold anything postflop.

Hi =)

Preflop: I think the 3bet and the sizing to 9bb are OK. After he calls I would expect him to have small-medium pocket pairs , broadway suited cards and possibly some suited connectors like T9s, JTs although we block a lot of these.

Flop: I would bet for value and probably make it about $0.55 - $0.60. After this min-raise I think he may have sets, 2pair with the Q8s or a combo draw with the A :spade:K :spade: if he doesn`t 4bet this preflop.
If he had some random (semi)bluffs like 97s or 75s, K7s etc, I think he would have made the raise bigger to maximize his fold equity.
I think with a top pair Qx he would have called the flop.

Against this check/min-raise I would strongly consider folding unless I have seen him overplaying made hands and turning into a bluff or making some fancy plays postflop. Then probably I would have called the flop and called T and R on safe cards.

Given what he showed in the end I guess you have made the correct play vs. this guy so nice hand _thumbsup:

Hello riskcore,

If you assume that to be true then sure we are able to call this down. Though of course we have to have really good reads for that. Cause he still will have a lot of Qx hands in his range which also shove in those spots.

Best Regards.
