You get xr on paired board with not gutted hand. Fold.

Why do you bet 1/2 ott and then like 3/4 otr? I would use a 2/3 bet ott and otr. And for the x/r fold. He can as well have some stupidly played Axs. Many people raise it from UTG so I wouldn't be surprised if he showed an Axs. Also JTs,TT,JJ can be in his range

Why not fold flop? This flop is as close to a whiff as it gets for KQs, Jack hits many hands you were ahead of pre-flop, and you can't even beat A-high

And while I'm at it, hello :) back after a long break, and expect to start posting a lot more in the near future

I think i would xb turn. Raise on the river is often for value, you dont have nut flush and boars is paired. Fold.

Board is dry and villain will attack it a lot. So we can call once.

Maybe, but is it worth it? Looking at OP's sizings, we're committing 14BB to the pot with K-high - and presumably our only hope is to bluff away an A-high hand? Raise was from UTG, pocket pairs are likely not folding, Jx are not folding, so AK, AQ, and maybe AT if villain raises that UTG are the only better hands we have fold equity against, and we only have backdoor draws. My problem with calling is that even if an UTG-raiser is betting air in this spot, it's likely better than our air

Ok that's fair. I'm currently at NL2 :f_p: as I cashed out when I stopped playing last time. And at NL2 I would want even my bluffing hands to have at least some showdown value. But that may well be just me being a nit

what about raising on flop? we have back door straigh and flush. bit lazy at the moment to do math on combos.

Raising this dry flop is not ok. What value hands you will raise here?

The river is a pretty gross spot. I want to say this guy can do this with any Jx but I'm not so sure. Bleh...I don't mind your play.

Ok. Look him in the eyes. Do you see that? He is afraid. Keep staring in to gis eyes, as time passes he will slowly begin to unravel and crumble. By now you can not only see his fear but you can smell it, taste it and feel its presence. He may as well be playing face up. Call. And make sure when he rolls over that 7 5 os that he and everyone at the table had best remember their place when you grace the felt with your power.

This is a textbook scenario of reverse implied odds.
