THanks for the info yeah it's probably best line, but I am asking about folding as played. This is probably the 1st time in my poker career I think going all-in on this turn is big -EV for me with a set, I have never ever folded set before on dry boards.

Call once or fold. In this particular situation I'd fold, but I wouldn't call with it preflop, it's -EV because of positions.

It's not interesting for hand evaluation coaching, almost any line is ok here.
It's mostly guessing his range here and deciding to go for it or fold.

I don't think he would be worried at all about a backdoor flush draw, if he's any decent he would put Hero on an over pair or set.
Stats are one thing, but if Balanarm has played long enough with this dude to KNOW that he just doesn't overcall funky hands like 68s, even from the button, and that he would fold 99 to flop action (and 3bet all higher pairs preflop)... then it's not unreasonable at all to accurately put him on a better set, and decide that there will be much better spots to get the money in vs this guy.
Personally I don't know if I can get away from this... but if you've really been "in the zone" and watching this guy closely and decide that he has a better set, then by all means trust your instinct and go for the fold (and don't post about it here ;))

WOW, this is epic, 2 years passed. I never folded a set on this kind of board. But I still think this is a fold.

I actually like your fold because of the constellation and 3 way.
The coldcall from BU is nearly always 88 or 66, at least in my experience.
I have seen such a play so often.
Just think about that way: What would you do if you had 66, 88 and you were to act on flop after TAG contibets into 2, sandwichplayer raises although you are left to act?

Hmm, good question.
I'd fold 97 if I were in BU shoes and only maybe call 86 and sometimes really fold it.
The problem really in this spot is, that a tight PFA contibets into 2, then the sandwich player raises which shows a lot of strength.
well I´m never folding there 66/88, since he can always have there lower set and 3-betting nuts on dry board generally sin´t the best idea if I´d hold 88, so I guess I would call and shove any turn card
