i think we shouldn't iso raise here. Completing on a small blind would be definitely the best option. I don't expect villains fold to often here and also when the call we are oop for the entire hand and then in difficult position.

I would just complete here and hoping for some straight or flush. Also folding is not bad i am opinion

As played on the flop i think we have to cbet if we decided to iso raise with 9 :club:7 :club:. When we cbet we just hope everybody folds otherwise almost every card on turn and river is bad for us.

So i think you will make your life my easier if you don't iso raise such marginal hands.

Agree with Alan, I wouldn't Isolate this hand. If we had position it could be better play.

As played, betting flop big and then giving up if called would be my default plan.

The value of suited connectors /1 gappers etc is predominantly due to fold Eq as they play well post-flop and you can play draws aggressively but is also well disguised should you make a strong hand. I think the typical SD strength of SC's is often thought to be stronger than it is, they most value with initiative against tight-passive opponents.

Vs pre-flop loons calling a very wide range you would be better served isolating a TPGK heavy range. This can still be fairly wide (eg Q8o as long as you think villains call worse Q's and 8s.) That said, I would prefer to isolate a considerably tighter range out of position.

As played pre - I would bet more on the flop, as, if these opponents are as weak as you think then they will call almost any amount with any naked broadway diamond.
