Hi, in this hand the villan steals a lot so i decided pre Flop that i was going to try to float him out of the pot on a good board but I'm not so sure if it was the right play. Any advice?

Villan stats: VPIP 21 PFR 18 AF 2 Att to Steal 38 4bet Preflop 21 cbet Flop 92 WTSD 30 Hands 931

iPoker - $0.10 NL - Holdem - 7 players

CO: $23.80
BTN: $10.00

SB posts SB $0.05, Hero posts BB $0.10

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.15) Hero has 3♠ A♣

fold, fold, fold, fold, BTN raises to $0.40, fold, Hero calls $0.30

Flop: ($0.85, 2 players) 4♠ K♥ J♠
Hero checks, BTN bets $0.63, Hero calls $0.63

Turn: ($2.11, 2 players) 5♠
Hero bets $1.00, fold

Regards,

BAM

If you want to play back, just resteal 3bet him because that yields more profit than calling and try to outplay someone out of position. With your stack, that means you mostly have to call a flop cbet and do something tricky on the Turn like you do now

But I am sure you are not going to make this plusEV with a crappy ace because what will you do if he calls again and he shows you a pocket pair that still beats your ace high at the moment?

Bes regards,
Gerv
