Hi everyone

What would you choose on the river? x/c or a smaller bet? He has some Adxd is his range, but I am not sure if he would call any bet with them on river. Although i cannot see hands bluffing on the river as well. As played fold can be an option? I mean he bets a huge which tends to be for value.

I might have opt in for a 1/2 pot bet. In case raised, I fold. In case called, you won some G-buck (if I say this correctly) against villain's range since villain could have raised you and put you on many hands besides flush hands (JJ+ for instance).

I would bet fold river. You are often ahead otr and you miss value by checking. Let villain herocall with 9x/TT/diamond AX hands. If you check he might or will usually check those hands back.

Backdoor flush is not that scary.

B/f is not an option here, huge amount of weaker sets, I wouldn't expect him to bet air here, just go with it.

Why would sets wait until river to raise on this board? And why would they slowplay it and then raise otr when there is possible flush?

IMO sets raise atleast on the turn when there is 2 flushdraws +SD.

That's a basic mistake, don't take for granted that kind of knowledge.

Hmm okay. Mabye we can bet call top set and bet fold some worse sets.

But still Im betting otr as we miss value from some hands that villain might check back.

As played, I would call even that big bet. Villain could have lower sets, maybe 2Pairs so in most case hero is ahead.
Vs completed Flush OTR I would bet 1/3 PSB and fold to a raise.

Guys, villain is calling us with something.
There are no sets here. It has to be the flush. Ace may not bet here.
We can xc.

Lower sets and 2p will raise us earlier. Board is not good for calling 2 streets with them.

I wanted to hear this. IMO he has no sets/2pair. Mainly just flushes when he raises otr.

So I will bet/fold river with top set too, like I said before..

I also think that villain does not have sets or 2 pair here. If he is not very very passive, he should raise those hands on that board. Betting and folding to a raise OTR sounds reasonable to me.

Well bet/fold may sound better...

I'd just hate to bet/fold here and I don't want to put myself in that position. There is a shitload of busted draws (a million T8s, 86s, :diamond: :diamond: ), the T♥:8♥: is the only really sensible value hand (edit: and what he actually held is sensible too:D). Villain can easily have two pair (why the heck not??). There's of course some overcard combos in hearts if villain is lose enough. Nope, I'd check, call, and hope he bluffs.

Agree with you that lower sets will raise at least OTT but if villain is passive player he could have lower sets. Villain line seems like he's drawing but he could also could have hands like A9, or busted :diamond: FD.

x/c is not a bad option, if we believe he is going to bet with weaker hands.

Passive players do raise too. Nearly no sets and 2p on this board are there on river.

Yes indeed they do. Passive players usually get aggressive when they have a hand.

If a passive player raises we should fold without the nuts.

After the hand and your discussions I think too that I should have bet/fold the river. Only two combinations of two pairs are possible (Ad2d,Ad7d), if he has set he would never raise the river, some Adxd can call as well, and top of that he was very passive , so even if he has an fd without pair, he might not bluff the river
