Hi,
i have some hands with villains donk bets and i don't know what to do. I understand that i missed the flop but my hands looks strong ant it's hard to let it go. Also if villain re-raise me after my c-bet it's fine to fold, but donk bets confuses me.
Please help me to solve this post-flop spot.
Thanks.

Hi SpecialEdd,

Ideally you would keep all hands separate so we can have a discussion going.

However, posting these together it's not a problem now and I'll respond to each.

When facing a donk bet you have to take into account multiple things however the most important are villain info, bet size, position and board texture.

In all 3 examples the donk sizes are rather large, especially in the second hand. For me that hand is an easy fold given the bet size.

With a normal bet size (1/2-full pot) I would call because we have two overs, showdown value, backdoor flush.

Generally I like raising the small donks because they are usually "tester" bets and can be made with weaker made hands that are still better than ours. So making him fold them would be good.

In hand 1 and 3 I think we can call the flop and evaluate the turn, generally looking to bet if they check.
