IPoker, $0.01/$0.02 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 9 Players

SB: $2.95 (147.5 bb)
BB: $6.14 (307 bb)
UTG+1: $1.08 (54 bb)
UTG+2: $1.11 (55.5 bb)
MP1: $2.19 (109.5 bb) 13|9|3,4 H: 293
MP2: $2.09 (104.5 bb)
Hero (MP3): $2.03 (101.5 bb)
CO: $0.94 (47 bb)
BTN: $1.45 (72.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with J A
2 folds, MP1 raises to $0.06, MP2 folds, Hero calls $0.06, 4 folds

Probably fold preflop is best choice against so tight MP3 but I decided to call this time.

Flop: ($0.15) 3 7 7 (2 players)
MP1 bets $0.04, Hero calls $0.04

He bets only 2BB so I decided to call and hope for a better card on a turn.

Turn: ($0.23) A (2 players)
MP1 bets $0.10, Hero calls $0.10

Well, I have top pair and MP3 bets again only 5BB. I decided to call again to look for a card on river.

River: ($0.43) K (2 players)
MP1 checks, Hero checks

He just checked so I think he has somethink like Ax. With a worse hand he will fold, and with a better hand like AK he will raise so I rather check behind.

Spoiler

Results: $0.43 pot ($0.02 rake)
Final Board: 3 7 7 A K
MP1 showed Q Q and lost (-$0.20 net)
Hero mucked J A and won $0.41 ($0.21 net)

I like calling pre, you are suited which gives you extra options and you are in position. Folding wouldn't be bad either of course.

Flop is fine, no point in folding to this silly bet. Turn is fine of course.

I probably bet 20c - 25c OTR here and fold to a raise. I think he can call with Ax (if he has Ax, it's suited, I don't see him opening A7o). He would have bet again with AQ IMO so it seems unlikely.

River
He would bet the river with an A. I can't imagine betting the flop and turn, and checkind down river with any A. So, you could bet for value there.

Hello TedG82,

You can easily Bet the river for thin value from worse PPs or something similar. :) ~1/2 pot size is fine and we can always fold it he decides to come over the top.

Best Regards.
