Hi,
After my 3bet on the SB I faced to a strange 4bet here yesterday. I had no read on the villain.
I have questions now:
1) Made i a good decision to make a 5bet here? The reason that I 5betted here: if I am too scared to make that move here, when would I make a 5bet then?
2) After his call of my 5bet: the flop was not very nice. I planned to make a check-shove here. With this move I hoped to force him to make a fold on my shove. If he maked a call then I had still got ~20% equity to win at the showdown. If he did not make a bet on the flop I could see the turn card cheaply.
The reason I post the hand with questions here: I realize I was playing in a 5bet pot and there are two weak points in my plan:
I) the villain should have KK+ in his range
II) he could check on the flop with a better hand and tried to get a cheaper showdown.
III) our stacks were not very ideal for my check/shove plan
