I actually timed out, i thought i had time bank and i didn't. My plan was to call.
Villian takes such a strange line, i just don't know what to think he has and can't really put him on a hand.
Would this of been a good time for a bluff catch?

Wow..... What was in your head and made you call the raise on turn?
Why do you timeout on river when you should fold right away?....

It is indeed a strange line but I have sometimes seen that when villain has a strong hand. He wants you to think he is bluffing. Or maybe he hit OTT. Or maybe he really is bluffing :)
I still wouldn't call.

Didn't answer my question: why cbet

You are out of position and don't have a very good hand. BTN vs UTG calling range is full of pocket pairs and some Kx hands like AK and KQ, also some AXs hands with backdoor flushdraw and backdoor gutshot might call OTF.
In this spot you can cbet if you believe you can get autoprofit but otherwise I would check fold or maybe check call.

Reviewed this with Snowie, it thinks betting the flop is a rather big mistake.

Hmm I think I have to change my opinion a bit. On this board I might select a bit smaller bet size because it will still have nice fold equity and we don't mind that much if villain calls with some trash too? With smaller bet size we must have more value cbets so cbetting this might be just fine. If I check 1/2psb sizing with Snowie it tells me that betting half pot is 0.04bb higher in EV.

So yeah, I think cbetting is fine.

Well, I thought you will never come to ours... :)
On such board we can make a 35-50% cbet.
