I don't think a cbet makes things easier. Probably the opposite. We can check/fold here.

Villain can xb a lot I think and we can see a turn, though there are few good cards to come.

Yeah if he checks back, great; if he bets then we're folding the best hand sometimes but we'll just have to get over it.

A bet has close to zero FE and definitely zero value to get. The only rationale to bet is to "avoid getting bluffed out". There are spots to do this (mostly OOP on the river), but not here.
