How do we play the turn?
From the BT perspective, when do we raise the turn? How do we play this board?

Hi,
At this limit i don't think he can raise something worse than your AA. You block the nut FD with your A...so i don't think you are in front when you call that shove

Hi,

you played it fine.

here are some considerations though, how does this villain play on flops and turns with draws? top pairs? 2nd pair combo draws? how strong is his raising range?

while against most opponents on the slightly higher limits this is a call, there are some situations this can be a fold. ill estimate this is a fold maybe 30-40% of the time.

they can sometimes float with a hand like K :diamond:J :diamond: and jam it in on the turn, or a hand like 8 :diamond:9 :diamond:. of which we are all ahead of. of course in his range is also hands like 33 88 78 which crushes us. usually the range where he jams consist of something like 60-70% drawing hands with good equity. and then 30-40% nutted hands, and given the odds we have to call.

however for some opponents u can adjust this to more like 70% nutted hands since u may know they seldom raise a flush draw or straight draw, and usually only sets overpairs and 2p+.

against a regular this is usually a call.

Thanks
Xavier Fok
