I think on the flop I could check/raise sometimes but I don´t wanna end the potential bluffs from the villain and besides he seemed strong firing from UTG.

At the river easy fold?

Maybe I was only beating AK or a Bluff at this point.

What do you think about the hand?

P.S.

Btw, I don´t know if it's allowed to post external links, but I didn't know how to embed the image properly on the forum.

Hey jesusflorestz,

Simply use the link that ends in a file extension e.g. .jpg, .bmp, .png. An even easier way is to simply drag and drop the image directly into your post. This places a copy on our cloud server which means it will never disappear.

Cheers

Laz

Tricky stuff, the flop is very wet, but on the other hand you know you probably have him beat, that he has an Ax

You would need to raise real big to get him to fold

I disagree with this. At NL2, they call you down easily with TP (maybe sometimes even second pair, or some sort of pocket pair they can't seem to get rid of), and draws. I think you should try and get the money in as soon as possible... So I would take a far more aggressive line here.

I would reraise flop, to 0,25 or something
bet turn, for about 50. or go all-in if villain donks
And on that river, I'm probably also going to put in all of my money... if he hits the river, that's just bad luck.

Thank you all for your comments.

Basically this is a calldown and fold river to such strenght or check/raise flop and try to get the money in as fast as possible, because my hand was vulnerable in later streets.

You see, mate, I am not talking to you, but to this guy, @jesusflorestz. But whatever...You raise OTF, how much , 3x? And if he 3bets, what then!? You will be happy about this!? Stack off with such a hand...Ok, he calls...You bet OTT, he go All in, what then!? "Happiness" :f_biggrin:.. OK, he calls again...And OTR he "donk-shove", with the rest of the money.
You have "the weakest strong hand" ...

If it were me, I either 3bet or fold preflop, (I tend to lean to the latter as for my preferred playing style)
anyway, as played, the only hands that beat you are A5, A6, 55, 66. Since you already have a 5 and a 6 I don't see him having those hands too often... I just think you will be missing out on a lot of value if you don't play this hand more aggressively.

I'm trying to understand why you say this hand is weak?

The way I see it (ofcourse this might be influenced because we know what hand villain has):
If villain does not hit his second pair on the river, I'm not sure he will 3 barrel. What I do know is, that he will call me down on those 3 streets when I take control and have a good bet sizing if he has TP good kicker. Same thing applies for a flushdraw.

Knowing that chances of him having a hand that beats me on the flop are slim, I don't see a a reason to just call....

Okay your explanation makes a lot more sense now.

I understand that the aggressive style of playing is probably not good at higher stakes, because people understand what is going on. But in my opinion this is not the case for a lot of NL2 players.

I don't know what stakes you are playing on right now, and I have only played at NL2 so I can't compare... But I can assure you that people call down with the strangest kinds of hands at NL2 even when you are clearly showing a lot of strength. That's why I'm really struggling to believe that c/c/c is the best line to take, at these stakes obviously...

you have the option to raise the flop. As played once the turn and river bring out the Q and J, you cannot really raise for value unless he overplays all sorts of AX here. His UTG range should mostly be AJ-AK and when you raise here he's probably folding AK if he's decent which makes raising too thin. But you definitely cannot fold here.
