Squeeze + Flushdraw

I don't like your squeeze pre flop four reasons.

First - You have no info on the UTG so the optimal play here is to tighten up a lil bit.
Second - His size should make you tighten up you range too
Third - The hand you choose will put you in bad situation i rather 3bet something like 87s than A8s.
Fourth - The size you squeezed was too small. If you were IP the size would be OK but OOP you should 3bet like 4,5x-5x.

It depends on what type of player is on BB. If he is passive, you can just call preflop.

I would like to hear your thought on the skipped flop cbet. Why?

I am ok to call preflop but I do not agree completely with your thoughts.
1. The purpose of the squeeze is to make both players fold right away or to make the EP fold and play vs the wider caller range. If UTG is passive and will fold frequently I do not see a reason for us to tighten up much.
2. About the size I agree.
3. Agree that SCs are good for this but we can do this with AQo, AJo, KQo too.
4. To make sure you are not squeezing too small, just hit the POT button.

Why are you assuming that UTG is passive? The only info we have is that he played 3 hands with agressively and the other 9 by folding.

If you are making a scenario where UTG is a guy that opens a lil bit wider on UTG and folds a lots to 3bet on UTG and CO calls with a wide range against UTG it's good to squeeze there but in this particular hand i don't see a reason to squeeze there with A8s.

UTG should be the tightest position by default... And when he has a player behind him still to act, he should fold much by default...
I do not base my decisions on 12 hand samples....

@nitrol :I skipped the cbet mainly because of Pot control, as the pot is already large. I dont see much fold equity on this flop after the squeeze call pf. Agree?

The problem is that there are many cards that will kill the action when you hit...

You got the ideal flop. This is much better than hitting the A. You should bet.

Not too sure if people are aware of the math behind squeezing, especially OOP. You risk 14 bb to win 8 bb already in the pot. This is a bad risk/reward ratio. How successful are your (any-one's) squeezes? If you get 70% folds here you probably think you autoprofit. In reality, you likely lose quite a lot those times you do get called. Life OOP holding trash (which A8s is on most flops) isn't easy.
