tp facing flop minraise

i definitely dislike 3-betting the flop - you mostly fold out worse hands and isolate yourself vs stronger made hands.

I think it's pretty std to call esp when the raise size is so small and that favours calling as opposed to re-raising.

I'm not sure why is standard to just call a minraise on a somewaht drawy board.
We are raising for value/protection against all his weaker J's, flush and str8 draws and ocasional midpair.
Note that we are oop, and what are we supposed to do on turn?

I think the problem with your thought process is that u are only thinking about his draws all the time here.

As pokerplayers we must always think about how our hand fares against our opponent's range and not only a selected group of hands. Vs a range of draws and monsters, KJ is crushed here. It doesnt make sense to reraise for protection. We should instead betcall flop and then we can cc or cr blank turns and cf on draw completing ones.

Sure, but in this hand i thought that he would raise bigger his strong made hands and biggest part of his range were bluffs and very little value hands that beats me.
Anyway, i raised to 8,xx and he folded.

i don't necessarily think that you can be that sure that he never has strong hands here. There are plenty of players out there who would raise small to trap you and try to lure you into the hand.

In this case you raised and he folded, which is kind of good I suppose, but in a sense you got lucky that you were facing the air/draw portion of his range. If he did jam you just end up losing way more money. He may even raise/jam some draws which would make 3b/f a bad idea. Since we have no idea what he's doing here, I think calling is the safer approach.

But his value range is so narrow (22, 44, AJ), and his bluffing and drawing range is huge. How can i 1.) let him see cheap turns and maybe free rivers, 2.) don't make him pay for his weaker hands?
Am I too scared of being outdrawned? Maybe i'm turnofobic
