Trips vs potsize bets

My advice would be fold or 3bet bluff pre. Normally this would be a clear fold for me vs UTG but since he opens only 2x I think we can expand our bluff 3bet range.
I think river decision is close. This maybe could be a fold but I don't hate calling.

I would fold preflop as this hand has terrible equity vs the UTG opening range. As played I would probably call the big cbet on the flop but surrender the turn as we are almost always hopelessly behind. I do not see him betting overpairs or draws with that sizing on the turn.

You'd have to be a wizard to know he had AQ or KQ, the rest in his range is beaten by the trips

He also has 99/77 in there. I mean, what do we really beat and bets like that ? Granted, it is the micros and everything is possible but I do not believe we can call potsize bet on the turn profitably.

He started with a pot size bet OTF. He can easily play KK,AA this way.

No choice. Got to call the river even though I don't love it.

Ok, he can bet PS OTF with AA/KK. But why would he bet the turn with that sizing as well when he would be essentially turning his overpair into a bluff ?

A good play is a play that wins you all the money.
So you know one of them won a really big pot, so one of the plays must make sense

He opened 2x only so fold or call prelop, I tend more to advice you to fold, because we are deep and playing with hand that you are not used to in 3b pot where is more room for mistakes is not a spot you are looking for at nl5.
Once you happened on the flop, well, thats type of spots you get when playing those weak hands way you do... I wouldnt mind folding flop right away? Im never in this situation so I dont know, but if Im ahead here then he is pushing alot of equity to the turn where I would play guessing game and if Im behind Im way behind if not completely dead, flop is also 3way, so I dont see much of a reason to continue.
Once you clicked call tho, I see he is betting pot again - now you might want to call down, villain might be in category of donks that dont understand absolute vs relative handstrength and do it with AA, he might just be tilted and spew for no reason, plays FD+over like that... But you would need some reads for that (atleast something - if he wasnt fullstacked, if you saw him doing something stupid in the past... if I have 0 hands on him and he plays 1 or 2 tables - that usualy means he is not reg, right?...), otherwise I think its bad and you shouldnt even be in this spot in first place.

Villain opened, got two callers and took bet bet bet line with huge betsizes with valuehand. What doesnt make sense in here, what am I missing?
It just doesnt make sense TO YOU! Which is completely irrelevant, in fact, it might make perfect sense for villain to do this. Your job as a pokerplayer isnt to try to make sense of everyhing you see and project it on your own reality, your job should be to find out how villain thinks (=what makes sense TO HIM) and adjust accordingly. Projecting your own reality on villains is fastest way to get broke because once you learn more about the game, you will think that everybody knows and you will get in world of hurt... Just my two cents, been there done that

That was well said. His play might not make sense to you or us, but he can still easily play that way. These are microstakes full of recreational players and as said above, he might not understand the difference between absolute and relative hand strength. He has an overpair which is nuts for him. Or he is a good player and knows ppl call him too wide and just decides to barrel big.
We can never rule out 100% some hand combos from villains range just because we wouldn't play a certain hand that way.

I am pretty sure on average people would value bet more often than turn perfectly good hands into bluffs so I am folding until I see him do it with weaker hands.

Preflop is a call because it costs nothing and you have the button versus a suspected fish (he opened for 2 bb). Just understand the if the pot gets big, you are in trouble without the nuts.

You should probably fold river. Definitely so versus a competent opponent. You are at the bottom of your playable range from turn and on. Also, the pot is becoming very big. You played this to either win a small pot or win a big pot with nuts.
