Is it still okay to shove Aces at SPR1 on lockdown textures like straight, paired and monotone in 5-card? In 4-card I think it's fine.

I heavily doubt these aces want to ever 3bet. Probably borderline on flop.

On paired boards, sure. On midrange straight boards, most often no because your opponent has range advantage. So on those boards you want to check-fold the worst hands and check-raise the best ones to protect your checking range :)

For example this hand. When you think about his 3-betting range he will have some suited aces, double suited kings and midrange rundowns. Also the only ace you are unblocking is A♥:. So knowing all that, what would you do now?

Still shove since his VPIP is high, we have a straight blocker and the SPR is even a little below 1. xD

Nah could been still X/F. I mean if he just calls anything worse like pair, gs etc..? Idk.

Okay it's a fair point. I'm just thinking wouldn't high vpip also indicate he has more cards between 5-10 in his range than typical regs do?

No actually not. It seems to be a common bias, we already discussed that in one of the previos hand discussions

reason is, fish or just loose players proportionally prefer to play higher ranked cards so the amount of those is proportionally higher than lower ranked cards (even fish would prefer AAxx over 22xx or AKxx over 32xx)

Yes they have more higher cards in their own range than small cards, that is definetly true. But when you compare their range to a typical reg, then they will have a bigger portion of mid range cards than the regs do. For example regs don't often have a set on this board in a 4-bet pot but fish definetly do.

Of course there are regs that balance their range a lot with midrange cards because it's a proper thing to do in omaha. But with 5- and 6-cards it's slightly less of a factor compared to 4-card because midrange pairs and non-nutted flushdraws decrease in value. So when the regs want to have midrange cards in 3- and 4-bet pots, they will often include suit to ace as the 5th or 6th card compared to the exact same 4-card hand.

Hope this makes some kind of sense.

For the actual hand, I could see myself 4-betting this against some tight regs that fold enough post flop but in general it's probably just a fold. Also check-folding the flop without the A♥: blocker.
