Would I fold to any sign of aggression, OTT or OTR, if a scary card falls?
Something making a flush possible, a fullhouse or a better str8.
I m constantly in doubt how to play those (naked?) str8s and sets, in not dry boards vs 1 or 2 villains.

fold preflop, even 100bb deep.
at this spr you indeed would have to fold to a raise because you might get freerolled. especially that deep I like to switch this hand into x/c flop, turn, x/c or x/r river depends on the board runout.
this will also be good balance vs aggro villains that seem to attack every non A/K high flop ;)

1) Plan ahead on the flop, so you arrive at the turn with balanced ranges.
2) Protect your checking range. Typical Reg-Leak : C-betting too many hands ott that shouldn't. Widen your x/r range.
3) Push marginal but no-SD Equity like medium combodraws.

Don't get confused, you need to play different against different opponents: You do not necessarily cbet the flop in general as you have no betting range here on this straight texture as already mentioned in one of your previous hands, but against a fish you dont need the balance here so betting the flop is superior to build the pot.
I would bet ott too as your nutstraight is vulnerable and you have reverse blockers. I think you can ignore the 7-blocker.

I dont like the river pot though, you should check-raise the river (depending on his aggression) or bet half-pot to get value.

Preflop open is fine. Even in in full table, that can be opened 100bb or 180bb deep. 4 handed definitely an open.

Remember that you need to balance only against opponents that can exploit you if you aren't. That said, in PLO you don't need to balance your betting/checking/calling ranges at all. In PLO2 that is bet on the flop 100% of times, unless you have reads that the opponent is aggro. Even then check-raising doesn't give a lot of value as then your hand is really face up. And check-calling works if opponent is aggro who barrels all the blank turns.

Versus 55/20/0 I would bet flop, and then on the turn and river bet 3/4 of pot.

I agree.

Preflop open is standard.
No reason to balance the flop, I should have mentioned this also for the river, it is only second option to check. Against fish you indeed get more value by betting 2/3-3/4 pot otr. Against some aggro-fishes the check-raise still might be better cause they r more inclined to stab otr and sometimes dont have the discipline to fold, when he was holding a draw that might bluff with air and he won't call another bet with a weaker made hand. But if the fish is unknown indeed bet.
