I think we have to raise here to protect our hand. We also get value from Qxxx that doesn't 3b us, and we don't want to just call, allow BB to come along and to see T ott.

In general this is a very easy 3b preflop with premium AA in this spot. Hero was probably afraid that villain will put him on AA as he doesn't 3b often, which can be a bad tell 200 deep OOP. So him calling makes sense as well if that's the case.

Yep, precisely. Don't feel confident 3betting oop this deep even with strong AA (I'm not very good :P). I'm always 3betting IP though.

And yea, 3betting oop mostly means AAxx at these stakes, and villain is very likely going to put me on AAxx

I believe sometimes in these stakes it is kind of better to play the hand face up against certain players. I'd rather 3bet aces oop than IP.

Well, in PLO2/PLO5, they do not really respect raises all that much and have no respect for position whatsoever. It may work against thinking players, but in these smaller stakes most players, even the regulars, tend to flat or come over the top when they get raised on (courtesy of Pokerstars.fr), so you are more likely to get into a preflop allin holding your aces or otherwise inflate the pot. Also, they are much more fearful of aces, so you may knock them out on crappy boards more easily and since they bet more when they think they are up against aces, you have an easier decision later.

In position I'd rather 3bet high-pair blocker AKQx type of hands and suited connectors, which seem more like aces to the average micro stakes player, and it is easier to play those if they decide to donk bet.

My thought process may be flawed in many respects, but I just happened to notice that the trend is that players play completely different to PLO25 and further. Even fish in higher limits have a different type of game, cause most super micro stakes players are beginners or totally recreational players In effect, you can expect some reverse tactics to work if you want to win against them.
