I would say that neither is wrong or "more correct". In poker is it possible that two very different opinions are both correct, if they are based on different assumptions.
I agree that is donker has significant bet-fold range, the EV of a raise goes up a lot.

Yeah. As we theoretically call we also have to take into account what effects a different play has on our strategy, ie. that by raising we weaken our calling range or what we trying to achieve with a certain play like generating FE and isolate by raising. It is important to know what effects and reasoning certain plays have so we can adapt against specific opponents and experiment to find a play we like. It´s more often the case that certain player general or line-specific tendencies shift towards one extreme that´s generating the actual profits rather than finding the perfect play for each street.
