1) I decided to just call before flop and kept raising after since i hit a jack, he just coldcalled, when he fired on the river i thought its a donkbet so i called.

2) was my play correct?

I would check/call to induce bluffs from the draws that missed. Given odds I don't think you can fold.


shoving pre flop is my standard.

turn is good if you plan on bet/folding.

river is bet/call.

I don't think the turn should be a bet/fold. The queen doesn't really change his hand after you've bet the flop, and as a result I think folding is too weak given how few BB you have.

so villain floats flop and shoves turn over our 2nd barrel and we bet/call with 2nd pair no kicker? what are we beating?

draws, esp turned combo draws. Rereading the HH though, we are still "deep" enough effectively to b/f the turn with 1600 behind. However if we happened to be shorter, this should not be a b/f (in fact you should take a different line in order to avoid being possibly blown off the best hand)
