UTG was playing AK here...

The shove here wasn't needed I guess if I look back on this hand, since I'm still playing 26 BB's. But I'm just posting this hand because I ran into this situation 3 times today in about half an hour.

UTG limps... I shove it in from the Button with AQ here but also once with AJ & A9s in other SnG's, and every single time UTG calls with AK... Oh and while making this post I just shoved my last 7 BB's in from the SB with A6 and I get the call from the limper UTG... AQ.

Am I just losing my mind or is it becoming 100% normal to limp in with AK & AQ? Because if it is I have some adjustments to make to my game...

Kind of annoyed now, knocked out 4 times in 8 SnG's with these 4 hands I described here. Especially cause I was perfectly on course for a good placing in the Mercury division of the SnG leaderboard on PS but yeah, that's pretty much gone now.

So... should I tighten up my push range if there's any limpers in the pot or what? :/

Well in $1 sng's players will not play optimally, try n make notes on these players that limp AK or big hands so you know if you happen to run into them again. Most of the time bad players will limp weaker hands, or small pairs so you're ahead or in a coinflip situation if they call. So I wouldn't stop applying pressure against the smaller stacks.

In the hand posted just raise 4x BB, theres no need to risk ur stack vs the only player that can knock you out.

Another one. We're ITM, 4handed. UTG limps, I shove on the CU with KQs... UTG calls, AK
Just gonna call it for today cause I haven't won any crucial 50/50 coinflips either today yet and if I run into an AK limper on a shove once more I dunno what I'll do.

I agree with p0kerQT, just normal raise 4 BB or 3 BB if the blinds are higher and just wait what happens. You can preaty easy avoid disaster, when he only calls and you dont hit anything on the flop. .. if he reraises you All-in, i think its not a mistake to fold that AQ and wait for clear spot .. ... and as you say, push for more than 10 BB is useles .. because you get only called by better hands, and hands like AJ folds ...

With a stack of 24BB I do not like pushing here.
I'd just make it 3,5BB.
Regarding to the trapping question I do not think every limp is a trap. Just make notes and go on. You will run better for sure. Good luck.
