saw flop | saw showdown

Button Hero (4780)
SB (5180)
BB (5040)

Preflop: Hero is on the Button with A♣ 9♥
Hero raises to 4780, 2 folds

just shove it in? We are pretty deep, so I'm not sure. Villains are rather tight.

nah, i would let it go, or raising 2,5bb if the villains are tight like u said. Shove like 99+ AJs+AQ+.

I prefer this. If our opponents are tight then hands like A9o go way down in value especially this deep.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean?
How I understand it:

the risk/reward isn't good. If I'm called I'm dominated, and they have plenty of time to wait till they get AK and pwn me.

So you raise it preflop?

I'm sorry if it's not clear what I mean. It's hard to verbalize my thoughts in your freaky language.

I think what they basicaly mean is the reward is small going allin because only better hands call giving mostlikely loss of whole stack for hero.

while a smaller raise will test the waters if someone has a callin/raising hand which most likely is stronger than A9.

is 2.5BB good bet? I think it depends how tight/loose the villains are.

i agree that the shove isn´t good. raise 2.5x
but i have to disagree with the "shove 99+ AQo+ AJs+" - thing. i raise them 2.5x as well and get it in against a shove. i don´t want to get readable and even tight players will reshove hands like A9, AT, AJ or 66-99 etc.
of course i might get flat called but then i still have position

Exactly. Agreed. If we raise our weaker hands and shove our strong ones then... our opponents have an easy easy life ;).
