PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t50 (6 handed) Hand History converter Courtesy of PokerZion.com

CO (t2510)
Button (t1817)
Hero (t1080)
BB (t2190)
UTG (t3478)
MP (t2425)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A[:club:], T[].
4 folds, Hero raises to t150, BB raises to t2190, Hero ???

Looked a little like a resteal to me, but I couldn't be sure. I figured I had a small enough stack that I could probably get away with a call, but I'm not sure what I should have narrowed down his range to. Too dangerous?

hmmm this one is pretty read dependent.

has the BB been overly aggressive so far? 3betting a lot? how did he gain his chips? has he shown down a lot of trash? whats his steal % like?

against a tight unknown this is a fold.. against a reg i think its pretty close but i would call.. and against a loose random i would probably call as well. but im not overly happy about it.

tough spot

Looking back through tourney history we'd only played about 20 or so hands. He'd gone in on two of them and won both on the flop and turn respectively with 1/2 pot bets. That's probably tight enough to just let it go eh?

do you have a tracking program like PT3 or HEM? stats help a bit in spots like this.

i think i would lean towards folding it ... but im sure some people would snap call every day and not think too hard about it.

im really not too sure about this. i think if it was suited i would like a call a bit better.

i personally would fold here, unless i have a read on him. Actually i think i might fold ATs,AJ as well.

On these micros, i really don't think theres too many players who are playing re-steals. I think They are basically a) maniacs who will just re-raise their pretty hands all the time anyway or b) tight players who won't do this unless they have JJ+,AQ+.

So depends on which category you put him in.

Hi all,

It's a call if he's somewhat good or loose. It's a fold otherwise. You're just going to either have to post stats to determine which of the two he is, or flip a coin (naw if it came down to flipping a coin I'd choose fold).
