Hello,

Here I am against a bunch of fishes and decided to raise a bit pre because KQ is very difficult to play in unraised pot. I agree that raise should be bit bigger though. The player who called my cbet is a regular fish player with stats 46/12 over 400 hands. He is more of a passive player and has an aggro factor 1.9.The river is ugly as draws got there and he has a lot of Ax hands in his range, I am mainly block-betting and try to value Qx or random rags, so when fish raises even despite the great odds I decided for a fold.

Problem with block bets in this spot is that they are too exploitable. Any thinking player will raise you here with nuts and bluffs cause he knows you have showdown value now and want to see the showdown cheap. That being sad, I don't think fish with gap knows all that and in general when fish raises river it is always safer better to fold cause we expect very tight range. Since you have no history on him that he bet missed draws on the river, or that he turned mid pp into bluff or that he called and bet with TP WK then its better to fold.
Personally even with all this info, I would find it super difficult to fold here cause of price and in general I love to bluff catch people this may seem like a good spot if he is aggressive.

very tough on the river. Check/fold seems to be a good option too.
I think you should extract more value and bet the turn bigger.

Well as far as I know that player (400 hands) he isnt an aggro-monkey and I haven't seen him raising with weird or random holdings. I agree that due to the odds a call is tempting but I doubt I am ahead here ever.:(
Well the block-bets are somewhat weak IMO as well especially this sizing I made. Against regs I would make it slightly larger so that it looks more like a thin-value but can also be used as a block-bet so that regs dont exploit me that much. Only in very rare cases I do use block-bet in my limits, there are often better choices like ch/c b/f or ch/f :)

Isn't ch/f a bit too weak? But on the other hand if I do check than calling a bet on the river would be even more marginal.

imo not that weak. He is not going to turn his sd value into bluff so he will check with all that you have beat and bet only with flush, sets, AQ. And its hard to say if he really can call you with worse Qx on this river.

ps. obviously there are guys who can call you down here with a hand like 66. Against them i would value bet the river 1/3 of pot.

You raise to 3x preflop after 2 limpers? I will either make it bigger or just c/b.

On the flop, bet is nice, I will prolly go for 700 though. Bet bigger on the turn to extract more value from his draws/Qx, 8x or other pairs and on the river, I will bet like 1/3/fold on the riv. It's the only way to get value from worse. I will also fold on a raise, he's a passive station.
