Hi,
I didn't hit the third "four" here but I got a OESD and still a pair so, the pot is 700 and I should invest a 200 to see another card for pot odds of 3.5:1.

With 10 outs (8 for the straight and two 4, or I should count differently?), should I call?

This thread is almost with the purpose to help me to find out if I have understood few concepts.
The Odds are 3.7:1 so a bit bigger (even if of an irrelevant value) then the pot odds. Also, accord to Chenny in his video "Stats in SNGs" the equity of my hand is far bigger then the equity request to make a call.
So, I should call. Is that correct?

Problem is that 8 gives you a pretty bad st8 and if you hit a 4 there's a good chance someone has the 8 and set is not good. (not to mention that someone could have bigger set already or made str8 on the flop)

If this was heads up later on, your hand could be decent, but 5-way drawing to a weak str8 this is just a very clear fold imo (regardless of the odds, maybe call a min bet -.-)

88 would be worth playing on this board.

As malosanmaka said the 4s and 8s are not clean outs, you could be drawing almost dead, and there are still a bunch of players to act behind you.

Yep. You have huge reverse implied odds against 98 type hands, you should always remember that you might get screwed big times if you're chasing a draw, which happens to be not the nut draw.
