And if I hit that flop, I probably bet out but I would have gone broke as well because I play lower limit tournaments and people go allin with far worse so most of the time you double up in that spot. Just not your tournament

if it was bet 4x and folds to me, i would fold.

as it stands 3 people called is an easy call for implied odds (esp considering we're pretty deep-stack here).

Here's the thing though, instinctively I ran through the possible handranges he could be holding (once he re-raised me all-in):

hands I'm ahead of:
AA, KK matches pattern, I have him beat :). HOWEVER, would he re-raise postflop?
QQ, JJ not impossible, hard to get away from these hands.
AK, does not fit re-raise all-in, MAYBE if he thought I was holding a mere 9 and would have some fold equity.

tie:
QJ, possible, great position for first-in raise.

loss:
KQ, possible, good position for first-in raise.
AQ, VERY possible.

99 never occurred to me but I seriously considered folding just because of the possibility of a better kicker: he had showed great strength pre-flop after all.

I disagree with chennys handrange. You clearly overestimate tournament players chenny. My handrange for villain:

AA, KK, QQ, JJ, TT, 99, AK, AQ, A9, KQ, KJ, KT, K9, K8, QJ, QT, Q9,

So, imo you can go broke on this hand.

The range, you give villain here is way too tight, I have seen these kind of plays and even worse with anything from AK too small pocket pairs.

It would be interesting, to know what buy in this SNG tourney was, but you can't fold this hand on any limit under 100$ BI.
