My standart is push. Any reads?

was checking if you could 3bet here...If you are pretty sure CO is raising light would ~40k not work?

Shoving is ok, against a tight CO I think I may just fold, and wait for better spots in position that will be coming up i.e. button in 2hands time..

With 16K in the pot preflop every hand, you can steal/resteal on your button..even though A9 figures to be ahead of a light CO range, your never far ahead !

I still like the shove though :)

imo 40k is just too little i'm giving great odds and i'm pot committing myself so they can play perfect vs me (shove very good hands, call with speculative drawing hands try to hit flop and fold all air hands)
if i have like 230k i can 3 bet it to 60-70k to look stronger (and fold to shove cos i'll will give inpresion that i have strong hand and they dont have fold EQ so when they 4bet shove i'm beat and i can fold leaving like 20 bb stack behind) but with mine stack size i cant 3 bet fold cos i'll committing too much of mine stack

yeah, the only way I was sayin the 3bet would work was the times that the CO has Air!

It's actually a really interesting hand, its 50/50 on wheter to fold/shove here..really depends on your reads!

I'm looking forward to this being judged!

i agree that this is 50/50 - fold/shove never calling in this spot

there was 1 more thing
on other table there was guy who just loose hand and he had ~3bb left and he was on btn this hand and payout jump was like 62$ for #19, 112$ for #18 (before that was like 4-5$ jumps) and #1 was like 4k$

Wow, that add's so much more dimensions..So you think he's raising light more often to exploit the pay jump? Although, knowing this i'm definitely more inclined to fold - make the payout jump, then up the aggression and Shiiiiiip the tourney from there ;)

not really, maybe.... i dont know are they (CO and SB) aware of this facts
i only think that sb should not call light mine shove (if he had good hand that he want to play for stacks he will raise imo) and vs standard CO range A9 is runinig good

BTW WHAT DO U THINK WHAT SHOULD BE CO AND SB CALLING RANGES HERE?

if i shove in this spot i'll have range something like 77+, KQs, A8o+, AXs and sometimes 55+KQo,76s+, QTs+,KTs any suited face cards
im def. shoving 77+, ATs+, AJ+ and 50% of time KQs (and i really really hate AJ, cos i run very bad with that hand but i'll always shove it in this spot)

raise or fold
impossible to decide without reads

but if I am not sure, a push is good ... I fold it

@therebuz
i dont know his callingsrange ... to less infos
but I maybe call with TT+, AK ... looser if i know, that u know what squezze is

there were no specif reads, they were not too much active, SB was on the weak side imo but he was MTT wining player so was CO too

any way i shove and CO fold SB calls me

the thing is that CO thought for couple of sec then fold (maybe he wasnt thinking at all he was MT i dont know ) and then surprisingly SB call me with KQs for 3/4 of his stack (i was expecting that SB will 3 bet or shove all "calling a shove/squeeze" hands and very rarely trap with big hands)

when i run this in equilator it turns out that he make a good call considering pot odds, but really was it that a good play, calling off 3/4 of ur stack with KQs?? :f_confused:

again with range u stoved KQs ?
there also a bubblefaktor in this hand, becuase of 19 left ... so i think he still need >50% to call this

and no, i dont like this call
its better to bet/push then to call
so he should push KQs and dont call it
call/call is good with hands like 99 or TT because u will push any PP but fold it, if he pushed before u

i actually not stove it vs range of hands i stove it vs mine actual hand, but vs that range i post 77+,ATs+,AJ+ (that i'll shove) is -ev

vs wider range is 66+, A2s+, KJs+, QJs, JTs, A8o +ev just for little

but i dont think that calling off with KQs(for 3/4 of ur stack)in that spot is ever a good play even vs maniac

since you´re shortstack and if you have no reason to think he is opening there tight I´d shove
damn: it is not final table, anyway, shove is better, since he´d open quite light and you´re hand is often ahead there
