Have not been playing holdem in a while.

Preflop and flop is fine. Turn complete flush draw so I would not bet this big. If turn was any other 8 I dont mind big turn bet to shove river. But that is imo thin line on this runout. As played I have hard time to see us being good versus river shove. Villain probably doesnt shove weaker for value and call stations (or most players) rarely go for river bluffs versus triple barrel line.

So I would expect we run into flush or AQ a huge amount of time.

If villain is a station you should Cbet flop more I think. Turn is a really bad card for you and villain could easily have a flush. If you bet as big you did now you get only action of better I think. 6bb is big enough and go for a thin value bet of around half pot on the river.
Now you get decent odds against villains shove, but I can't think of a hand a station would shove that you beat.
That makes it a easy fold I think.

If we would hold the K:clubs: instead of the K:daimonds:, would we still bet around 40% of pot on turn? or do we size up since we have the redraw?!

If you have the nut flush draw as back-up you're hand doesn't need any protection on the turn.
Than I would most likely Cbet smaller than without a draw.
