I would call preflop from CO and fold vs a squeeze if that will be the case.
However, I am a tour-fish ♦
Calling in position seems like a fine option for sure. If I 3bet I think 2,5x is more than enough in position and with those small stacks on the table.

I think 3bet in position is better than calling. If we call we leave ourselves more open to a squeeze, by 3 betting someone is less likely squeeze light.
3 bet size i would have said 2.75x, so a little smaller than you did.
I think fold is good disciplined play as it isn't likely you are facing two all in's with weaker than AQ,
If one has a PP and the other Ax you have less outs to beat the pair.
A good question would be what would be your calling requirement in this case? I think mine would be AA,KK,QQ
