bb vs btn defend

The stack dynamic is also a factor in this hand, because we only playing 10bb effective and then I would only fold or shove in spots like this. K2s would be a fold for me against someone that’s raising for the first time in 9 hands with a small stack as well. I expect he could have a tighter range then normal when he was playing more than 20bb for example.

As played we hit 1 of the best flops possible I think with the nut flush draw and 3 extra outs for a straight and I would stack off as well. Otherwise you shouldn’t play this hand in the first place.

as i said, I am so bad at this part of the game... MOST ppl say you have to defend the blind with nearly any 2, when you are getting 1to5! we need to call 1bb to win 5bb.. Which means that in this case we need 20% to be breakeven... and I guess that K2s is doing better than that vs most hands.
Some strategy videos say that you have to defend with any 2 bb vs light position open, specielly when ante are involved.... and that would be profitable even if we check/fold every flop... I DONT UNDERSTAND that part really! I am not comfortable playing so loose from the blinds. Could you tell me what hands you would defend bb vs late position open? on other training sites they suggest that J6s is a must defend bb vs a mini raise. (when ante are involved...)

I don’t know with video that was, but I expect they would play a lot bigger stack then you in this particle spot. The implied odds could be a reason to defend a hand like K2s, but with a stack of 10bb the implied odds are bad.

Maybe defend it with with a bigger stack but when you are about 14BB and below you are playing shove or fold. In this case its a fold and wait for another spot to shove.

Its an interesting spot, I wonder whether button ever jams there or if he has bet/fold and bet/call ranges. Similarly when he bets the flop, I mean he doesn't really have enough room to manoeuvre given the number of effective blinds. In other words, I wonder if he bets on the flop with the idea of calling 100%, and that he is only playing like this with trapping hands. Still, your hand is coated with equity on the flop so the shove looks standard.
