Final Table Question

Hi PokerStrategy,

This is my first post in this forum.

So just wanted your opinions on this play on the final table tourney

Scenario:

Final 3 People
I'm short stack, and other two have equal stacks, 3:1 my size

I also have about 12.5 big blinds left

I'm small bling.

> Button min raises (consistently doing this though)
> I have 77. I reraise all in
> Big Blind pushes all in too
> Button Folds

Big Blind had AK and gets A on flop and beats me

I finish 3rd.

Question:

Would you wait it out a bit to push in my scenario
Or would u do the same thing and live with the results

Thanks,

Zen :)

12.5BB, 3 handed 77 is a monster. I would play it just like you have done it.

You were the short stack. There's no reason to wait for a better spot. In fact, this is a good move even if all players had the same stack.

Hi ZenWizdom and welcome to the forums :)

I would be happy to see you around more often in the future.
If you have any questions on tournaments this is the right place to go! Feel free to ask - I will try my best to provide valuable answers :)

However, poker hands belong into our hand evaluation forums. In this subforum our professional coaches team discusses your critical spots with you and delivers alternative lines if needed. You may find the hand evaluation forum for tournaments up to 11$ Buyin here: https://www.pokerstrategy.com/forum/board.php?boardid=1503

Further information on how to post your hand "in the right way" is to be found here:

I will now move your hand to the correct forum.

As I already mentioned: If there are any questions left feel free to ask in the tournament strategy forum and I will be happy to assist.

Hello ZenWisDom!

I also want to welcome you to the forums! Happy that you posted this hand and that you want to improve your game!

On finaltable we need more information -> payout-strucuture, all stacksizes and reads on your opponents! In this case how lose do you think he opens the bu -> 15%, 25%, 50%? And do you still see foldequity? These are informations which are really important for an icm analysis!

I'm sure its a shove and you did the right thing, but It would be interesting how lose you could shove here!

Greets,
Tiltberger
