Pocket jacks postflop

Check fold or check call probably more likely to check fold as we block half of his Jx combos that he might want to turn into a bluff.

Unless he is a supernit this should be a fistpump-allin preflop I think, 10M stack and jacks doesn't play very well oop vs aggression.

The river raise is kinda nasty. I for one would not blockbet, my feeling is that it only begs for aggression. I'd like to check and evaluate his sizing, but as played we need to be good about 24% of the time, if my math is correct, so it must be close.

Pre-flop I would 3bet to like 1,8k with the intention to get it in pre-flop. As played the flop call is tricky. Especially if he 2nd barrels again, but the river I would earlier check/call then bet/fold and even if I bet I would make it at least 1k for thin value. Overall is against most players the check/fold on the river the best option.

What do you think donk 0.33·psb/fold ? If he calls just fire another 1/3 usb and check river/fold to a bet. This line would spend 1,500/7,600 (20% of the stack) and still be alive.

ill probably go all- in in tournament...

I wouldn’t lead on the flop if you mean this, but check/call most of the time and fold most turns unimproved if he’s firing again.

Why should I get it in with 25 BB ?
You say that the call on the flop is tricky.
Do you fold your pocket pairs after a c-bet and an overcard on the flop?

With a 25bb stack JJ is a strong hand against a UTG player. The only reason to flat pre-flop is if the UTG player is extreme tight.
The problem with calling on the flop is that you need to call a blank turn card as well and you aren’t deep enough to call to profitable with 1 over card on the board, but on his small bet it makes it a little bit easier to call. In this case the turn is a bad card for s and then you want to get it cheap to the showdown.
