same problem here, only I'm running windows XP and this solution is for windows 7. Any help for me?

It could have to do with a Microsoft.NET framework update. If you have been updated to v4.0, you'll need to re-install v3.5.

Most parts of the FAQ are for XP too, only "run as admin" is Vista/Win7 only.
But as Lazza already pointed out please install Microsoft .net framework 3.5 first.
