Hi everybody.

Let me introduce myself. I'm 27 years old, and begun my quest for playing good poker about 2-3 months ago. I have played chess for 17 years and still do play and train (if anybody plays chess too - FIDE ELO about 2200).

I invested in Harringtons books on tournament NL, volume 1 & 2, and have read them. I am reading Moshmans SNG book at the moment, and thats my main play ground in online poker (SNG and MTT).

I came across this site by a mere accident, browsing youtube poker videos. But i like the setup of the whole thing, and it seems very proffesional. I cleared the starting quiz 2 days ago, and am just waiting for my starting capital and movement up to bronze status, to read more articles.

Looking forward to getting to know you guys, and hope learn alot from you.

Hello Bezeal,

First of all let me welcome you to the PokerStrategy community.

As you have already stated that you are looking to play SnGs/MTTs I can highly recommend 4 things for you to do:

#1) Head over to the video section and watch some videos: http://www.pokerstrategy.com/video/sng/

There are quite a few low level SNG videos by Unam, Chenny and Helemaalnicks for bronze members which will help show you if you are doing things right or not.

#2) Download the ICM Trainer Light and the normal ICM Trainer: http://www.pokerstrategy.com/software/

Practice your ICM - its important for understanding key principles of playing late phase SNGs ;)

#3) Get involved in the SNG hand evaluation forum: https://forums.pokerstrategy.com/forum/board.php?boardid=1429

This a place where you will fix your leaks and start to think about critical situations.

#4) Check out our coaching schedule: http://www.pokerstrategy.com/coaching/

We have several live SNG coachings a week where you can watch the pros play and ask questions. A very good method for improving :)

If you do these things then they will help you to move up the limits safely :)

Kind Regards,
-Steve
