10k hands is not enough to evaluate positional stats or types of hands. You need hundreds of thousands, or even millions of hands to get correct estimates about positional winrates and etc.
The only conclusion you can take from that graph is that you're winning small at showdown and winning lots of uncontested pots (by bluffing, making you're opponentes fold or simply not getting called when you have a hand).
Most graphics you'll see from winning small stakes players are the exact opposite to yours: the blue line going up, red-line going down.
It is very difficult to have both lines going up, even at the very bottom limits. It is possible, but definitely not worth it (at small stakes).
So, I believe you're trying to outplay players in too many situations, bluffing in the wrong spots etc.
Basically, I think you need more ABC and less FPS.

About the books: if you want something introdutory, the articles available here in PS are more than enough. Watch others playing is also a very good tool.

Poker is gambling, but you can gamble with "skill", unlike what happens in other casino games, where you are always at a disadvantage to the house because you can not make decisions with positive expected value. Skill is a fancy word for +EV decision making.
Besides, it is an unsolved game (i.e, you cannot prove what decision is the best at a given situation) and that's why it is such an amazing game.

I don't think it as much about paying when you should not.
You're probably just trying to outplay your opponents at the wrong spots. Don't forget that the general small stakes player is passive and calls too much, so fold equity is not your best friend. This is, off-course, a general assumption. Every hand is different.
What I mean is: play the majority of the time for "value".
