Gold new content

Ohw, I see lots of refurbishing old content in the news? Or do I miss also something?

I am going to be pretty honest here. It is very obvious that we cut down on releasing new gold+ content in the past years.
I want to provide you with a few insights why this developement has taken place as it did. There are several factors contributing to this, by no means I can give a full analysis here.

• We were able to educate many players with our charts, strategy videos and coachings in the past. This was at a time when teaching poker required less effort to yield great results. A NL200 video or a starting hand chart in 2008 could spark a revolution, while in 2020 it will be far from noticable in how the new learned skill affects you at the tables.
• Players these days learn with tools that we have partnered with (and provide nice discounts, like recently PokerScientist). This is the new way of learning by working on your game yourself, understanding the principles by finding out yourself instead of having them presented in videos.
• There are a ton of free and educational streams outside that are worth exploring (in fact, we shall extend our section of friendly streamers on our page, too)
• Many of our partners urge us to provide more recreational and depositing players, rather than sharks that withdraw. Here we think we strike a good balance by providing our community, news and the educational pieces that we still have. On top our promotions with the partners are also aimed to facilitate achiving this goal.
• Because of the above the poker industry to a bigger extent went from giving revenue share deals to giving one time payments to affiliates. This on one hand helps us to provide new players because we can focus on them, but on the other hand does not really bring us huge boosts when we promote gold+ content. In the end gold+ players should still benefit because the new players we bring most likely will make the games softer rather than harder.

Yes, that is the point, the harsh truth. You can somewhat be breakevenish with the 08/15 content, with watching a video here and there, making sometimes some notes and looking at basic stats.
BUT: to really outperform the population you need to get your brain on fire and study hard. Study hard, Study GTO solutions, study your opponents, study typical and untypical situations etc.
