I'm interested in your experience of moving up at the stakes. I'm about to move up on pokerstars from NL2 to NL5, so I'm wondering how much does the game get tougher as you advance through the levels at microstakes (NL2 - NL10)? How much did your BB/100 hands drop off due to moving up a level. If you have experience in higher levels (NL16, NL25, etc.) where was the cut-off where things got way more difficult?

The most important things I have noticed wrt to preflop play when moving up:
- Players get more aware of position importance.
- 3bet pots are more common.
I didn't stay for a long time at NL5 simply because I played lots of hands at NL2 and build a bankroll for NL10 from there.
I play NL10 and NL25 (this one more on shot taking mood at the moment).
Money is mostly made postflop still. The only thing I have noticed, specially at NL10, is that players don't call so often with 2nd best hands.
I've never played NL16 simply because it doesn't exist here.
NL25 things start to get a bit more frisky, more agressive players. It is more bluffy, you will find every sort of players trying weird lines as they see "in the videos", but I'm pretty sure they're not doing it for the correct reasons, meaning their thought process is probably not the best one.
You won't find those big whales with VPIP of 50 playing short-stack. At least I haven't so far, but I'm not playing NL25 for a long time.
