I am having an issue with people floating the flop - I think that's the term - and then betting the turn when I check.

e.g. I make a preflop raise, miss the flop, and make a std continuation bet. Villain calls and, when I give up on the Turn, bets to steal the pot.

I realise that in many cases the reason villain calls and then bets is because he in fact has the best hand, but I'm certain that there are players who just call the flop to bluff the turn (whatever they're holding) when they think the preflop raiser is unlikely to have caught anything on the flop.

My question is this: is there an Elephant stat that will help me identify players who do this more often than is realistic?

Thanks in advance.

Tim

If you´re sure you are facing this kind of opponent you will have to accept a higher variance in your game, or you will lose all your money being floated.
