no, give it up. people don't really 3bet light. you get value from the fold equity generated when you push with QQ/AK but often you will be up against KK/AA. depends on the person you are playing - if they like to 3bet and go all in often then snap it off with QQ, but if they are a nit fold the QQ cos they will only be doing that with hands that crush you.

These are micro-stakes, players are doing all donk-arts! By folding to a re-raise every time you will be bluffed to many times!

pretty much.... these are what earn me the most! aside from AIpf w/AA or KK....

OK, I'll give those up! It'll be hard since I know every second villain is not bluffing, but just being plain old stupid! And also, do you fold KK pre-flop, because, so often I hit my head directly on AA!!!

And also, putting someone on some range in micro-stakes is one of the hardest things in poker, because no matter what you put the villain on, you will most often find yourself dazzled with T3 off-suit one time to many!!!

That's just inexperience in hand reading. Sure, you'll never assign them a perfect range but it will be close enough to make the best decision.

I work on that part of the game, but I really think that in micros you can put them on, basically, any two-card combo! Most of villains there play like 40-60% of all pre-flop hands!

so you should never ever flat AQ+ 99+

40% is not any two cards. Suited cards are more often played than offsuit, connecting cards, Ax hands, some other high cards. It also depends on what odds they get preflop cuz fish love getting pot odds and getting owned postflop.

I have never did it with AQ! But, why not 99-JJ? If you hit a set then kill the villain if not, fold!?

I know they play suited cards, ANY suited cards! It can be 42!!! So, if you are with AK and you hit a board K42 rainbow you are supposed to fold to a donkbet?!

You play vs a range, not vs a specific hand. It's hard to realize that and get out of the habbit of "soulreading" your opponent's actual holding.

you are 3beting for value. thay are going to call with worse hands, if someone is playing 60% they gonna fold some trash like J2s or T5s, but gonna continue with 22+ 67s+ K9+ QT+ Axs, A9+ and meybe even worse, against that range you have ~65% EQ and in most cases you are IP so you gonna win tons of money :)

That's what I was asking! Than You! it's not uncommon for villains to go all-in all from a sudden... What then? And, is my pre-flop reasoning to just call re-raise OK or should I change it!? I'm really struggling with those good, hard-to-fold, hands! I know that it's just one pair, but...

Dude, It so simple, don't call nothing on preflop, fold or 3bet and never check raise on the flop, Its just really wrong, keep all of your poker science on higher limits, now on micros just keep it simple and forget about ranges, u will just waste your time, its not for micros.

Mate, I know I'm playing vs a range not an actual hand, I'm not thinking that I am Daniel Negreanu to, often enough, know exact two cards villain is holding (remember WSOP 2007)! I know I'm putting them on range! For example, this situation I was asking assistance with: I'm with QQ and raise, he re-raises, so I'm putting him on a range AK, 99+ (I re-raise only and only, with AK, AA, KK and QQ). And there is T74 rainbow flop! I'm beat to AA, KK, TT and I'm stronger then JJ, TT, 99... he goes all-in it's not that I'm investing half as much the pot is, so I fold (because I'm weaker then 50 percent of hands he's holding)! But, when I encounter "donk" I put him on I wider range... and I MISS!!! I put him on AJ+, 77+, and he has T7s!!! It does happen!!!
So, I'll just play QQ as push or fold!
Should I call re-raise with AK! You say NOT?

I know all that! I was just asking directly how to play this particular hands! :) Anyhow, I'm beat to variance of crap as well! :)

You beat 50% and get 33% pot odds so you fold. ;)

See your mistake?

You just overvalue your knowledge. You lack the basics which shows starting from the fact that you asked how to play a hand not how to play situations.

Wait, to not even call small pocket pairs?
AND YES!!! That's what I was saying! All poker science does not apply to micros!
Thanks for understanding! :)
What with low pocket pairs?

It's 50-50! I know that I don't know everything, and I was thinking about situations when I wrote over-pair!

It's not 50/50 if there is dead money in the pot.

If we are both fully stacked (2 buy-ins) and there is like 3/4 of a buy-in in the pot and he goes all-in, how can it be smart to call if you beat only 50% of his range!?

But I do get the error of my ways! ?( Info-raise destroys the pot-odds there! Sorry! I knew you was right all along, I just didn't get what was you right about! :) But, prior to my re-raise and his cbet my info-reraise has good pot odds!? :f_eek:

You and opponent have 100bb.

You open to 3bb, he 3bets to 11bb, you call with JJ (or any other hand you said you do it with).

The pot is 22bb+1.5bb (SB + BB) so a total of 23.5bb.

Flop is 222.

He cbets 15bbs. You said you raise in this spot. You raise to a minimum of 30bb.

Pot is 30bb+15bb+23.5bb = 78.5bb. Your opponent shoves making the pot 131.5bb. You have to call 59bb to win a total pot of about 200bb. You get almost 3:1 pot odds which means you need 25% equity against his range. If you raise here without beating that much it means you make him fold everything worse than you have and call/shove everything better. This bet is neither for value nor a bluff so it's not a good raise (or bet).

I took a bit of an extreme situation, hope you get the point though.

I've got it! Thank You!
It's a problem, because I used to call in this situations with QQ, JJ, TT!
So, I should shove or fold QQ against regulars? And, I'm not supposed to call re-raise with AK ever (against regulars, or against anyone?)?
I know it's all simple to you! I GET IT! :f_cool: I know what are pot odds, I just don't know is QQ a shove vs regulars range of re-raise pe-flop!? :f_confused:
And, also, when I'm with AA or KK and I get a limper who donkbets, am I supposed to shove or call!!!??? :f_cry:
Thank You very much for explaining this to me! I presume it's not something you are eager to do! ;)

Download Equilab from the Poker Tools section, put QQ or whatever you have and then assign villain a range. Tweak it, see in what cases you can shove, when you can call, when you should fold.
