Hi, what you think, LAG or TAG, which is most profitable?

played well i think they're around the same. the only difference being that LAG is way more swingy. You're losing and winning far bigger pots.

Play tag in the beginning, especially on lower limits, that's the most profitable style.

Eventually you want both in your arsenal. If a table is full of tight passive rocks waiting for the nuts, LAG preflop and just pound away at their blinds.

Eventually you get a rep as a maniac and youll see some loose calls. Switch gears back to TAG, but play all the more aggressive when you get playable cards. You will get callers who have squat but remember you as "that maniac who keeps stealing my blind / limp".

You want to be playing what the table isnt. If the table is loose, you are tight. If the table is very tight, loosen up.

TAG up to NL100

Definetly TAG is more profitable at the micro limits. You will get payout anyway because nearly nobody is paying attention to your stats.

As with all poker questions, it depends. It's all down to your opponents style of play, generally speaking, if there tight you should play looser and if there loose, play tighter. This is why the lag vs tag debate is a bit rediculous imo

Also you need good postflop skills to play a lag style profitably, as a lag gets into alot of marginal situations.
