hi guys !
I am shooting nl10 since about 2 months, it's not going so bad so far but not too good either :f_ugly: This month I am loosing 1.5bb/100 over 10K hands.
So today I made a video of me playing, it would be real great if some of the sharks out there could help review. I am sure I have a lot of leaks.

(I watched it myself and there are many plays I am not too proud of... also if you are interested in review it might be better to make your comments without looking at what other people said, so you are not influenced)
here are my stats:

I have quite a bit of gap between vpip and pfr, I might be calling too much IP.

So thanks in advance, any constructive critics a very welcome !

Hi there :f_drink:

Just watching fast over your stats :

  • I have quite a bit of gap between vpip and pfr

  • You can improve your 3bet
  • Fold to PF 3bet is way to high
  • You have to improve your Cbet on the flop
  • You dont steal enough
  • You fold to much your blinds

That is a long video, you should make them somethink like 30 min not much people will spend 1 hour to analyze your game. I will try to look at your video when I have time.

P.S. I´m not a shark :f_rolleyes:

I think you should study more, that's all.

You don't even have a proper bankroll management.

I was playing the same and with same bankroll and had a huge luck I didn't bust.

river call effeciency at 2.3 way too high you are only going with best hands and giving up too easily on flop and turn

I watched the first half of the video, Abc poker not to much to say, not to many spots to discuss, I will watch the other half tomorow.

1:08 Cbet table 1
3:40 you fold AJo UTG Table 2, why ?
5:28 Table 2 I will not bet Turn vs 2 on that board
8:00 Table 1 I will bet bigger on the Turn
8:24 Table 2 I will bet Turn also
9:10 Table 2 bet bigger with your set on the flop
13:18 Table 1 I will bet the river
21:13 Table 2 not a good call on the Turn
25:20 Table 2 your bet is way to week on the Turn, why only 1/3...I will bet River also if i bet Turn
25:40 Table 1 Cbet the flop
26:54 Table 2 why iso 4bb+1bb for the limper
28:29 Table 1 Cbet flop - Stab Turn

Good luck !

I can see what is probably making you a losing player, on the video at 18 minutes and 6 seconds, you play 2 hands the same.

They are both medium strengh's hands best to use as bluff catchers.

Ill start with the A♠:6♠: the flop is 2♥:4♥:A♣:

Preflop

This is fine, BB calls your steal lets say he has somthing like 22-JJ A2s+ and 2 picture cards, and most suited connectors for your min raise.

Flop

The flop is A high rainbow, not very dangerous at all 54s is the only hand that hits a draw and its a bad one.

Your cbet here is very bad with your top pair weak kicker, he will fold his entire range, and only call you with a better hand, you should be checking back this flop and giving him chance to bluff on the turn.

By doing this, you play your hand more deceptively, he doesnt believe you have an ace more often on the turn when you bet, and you get called by smaller pairs

Hand2

Preflop

You steal with K♠:T♠:, you get 3bet and someone cold calls the 3bet, your hand is crushed here, you should fold.

The guy in BB has probably got a big hand, SB probably has a better hand too, playign with 100bb stacks this is a fold, you wont hit enough draws to make this profitable.

Anyway to the point, you make a simular mistake to the one i mentioned above.

Lets give ranges

SB - AT+ 22+ 54s-9Ts could be wider could be tighter

BB -TT+ AK

BBs call is very strong he will often have this range unless he is a bad player.

Flop

Action gos check, check and you cbet, again this is very bad, bb would probably lead with AK after sb checks, he could check, so bb has a hand like TT-QQ possibly AK, You bet 30% witch is ok, TT-QQ could call with that, but then you bet 3/4s on the turn, with middle pair, this bet will only ever get call by a better hand.

I would of checked this flop called and let sb bluff his trash, hopefully, if not bet about 30-50% myself and check river.

Summary

You are being too aggressive with medium strengh hands like tpwk and middle pairs

its not enought to just study - you need to study effectively. I think I study enough, but stuck for so long not beating NL20, because I do not know exactly what to study often, what are my biggest leaks.

Thanks for the replies ! I will look into it deeper later on.
@AgapieGheorghe true that's a long video... but feel free to just watch a part of it if you want, I mean I don't expect people to watch it all. Any input is appreciated. :)

I watched about 10min and took a look at your stats. You are probably playing too tight and not defending enough.
Postflop I saw you make some fit or fold plays.
I might watch the rest of the video later :)

Hi guys ! Just a quick update to say that now I am up 8 buy ins.
That's funny when you start a new limit you run bad a bit at the beginning and immediately you start thinking that you don't have the level and stuff like people are much better than you.
Hope I ll continue in the right direction and thanks again !

Great news :)
I think the downswing at the beginning might be because ppl play a bit differently and are a bit better so you need time to adjust. Also it is always a bit scary to go play higher limits :) This has happened to me too.
