Well i was wondering whether or not you guys search through pokerstrategy whilst playing poker? I find myself searching through the forums everytime i play, is this -ev? Is it distracting?, doing different things whilst playing poker? I was just wondering what you guys do whilst playing poker and how you don't get bored being card dead for long amounts of time etc.

i get bored and start browsing youtube and the ps forum.

I like to play and watch TV, listen to music, sometimes even watching a movie. I think sometimes just playing poker makes me overthinking all the moves and playing bad, when a get a little disconnected from the game I can be more objective. But you have to get cautious not to get too disconnected from the game.
Personally I think that all distractions are bad, because it makes you not care about the results. Every second you're playing there's money on the line so you cant play carelessly.
By this I dont mean that you couldn't feel good and be relaxed while gaming.
i just listen to trance music and when i feel myself opening up firefox... i open another table instead so poker has my full concentration! ♠_o:
