I played 10,000 hands at NL50 at PokerStars using Short Stack Strategy (SSS) explained in Ed Miller's "Getting Started in Hold'em". My win rate is 1.4BB/100.
I know 10,000 hands is not a lot to talk about a win rate, but I thought I could make much more with SSS, but what is an average win rate (ptBB/100) for Short Stack Strategy of a good short stacker?

My winrate used to be 5bb/100 at NL50 (70k hands), 1.8bb/100 at NL100 (70k hands) and when I started NL200 back in the days of yore I was at 1.2bb/100.(15k)
However recently I've hit a downswing or started playing terribly or something and my win rate has plummeted to something I don't even want to look up on Holdem Manager ♦
Good Players do not mind winrate over a couple of k's sample. Good Players mind Solid Play. After you have achieved Solid Play, the money will flow in.
Imo everything over 0 is good, I havent been plus on my 16k hands yet... but what can I do when i keep getting sucked out

I agree with your point. I would say awesome (great) players do not mind win rate at all. They focus on improving their games every day and try to be better today than they were yesterday.
I just wanted to know if people in pokerstrategy.com have some idea of a good win rate of SSS. I was afraid of asking this question in 2+2 since people there ( or poker players in general) hate short stackers.
you should check it at around 50k, the variance is really big. I think everything over 2bb/100 is solid.
over the short term winrate really doesn't matter. I could swing from 2BB/100 over 10k hands to -2BB/100 after another 1k hands.
For what it's worth, i'm 3.55BB/100 over 90k hands in NL10,25,50. So i must definitely be awesome. ♠_cool:

WOW those winrates are super awesome IMO
What pokerrooms have these rates been achieved at? I was trying SSS at both partypoker and cake(NL10 only) and I am getting burned badly...
Already lost $30 of the meager starting capital at cake (party was my own $) and Im scared to carry on losing

Albeit I have not played more than 2~3k hands what should I do??? please help
