Does anyone here have experience with Phil Galfond's "This is Plo" course?
Is it useful for 6-max PLO or only Hu? How does it compare to other PLO material/courses? What do you guys recommend?
Dont know about content but in general I like the way Galfond explain stuff in his YT videos. I did find this from FAQ part:
"Though most of the hand examples used are from Phil’s HU challenges, the concepts discussed and thought process taught will apply to any form of PLO. The course does include a 6-max specific section that features Run it Once coach Richard Gryko alongside Phil."
But yeah HU is also kind of different as ranges are so much wider than basically any 6max spot so personally I could see this being issue if user is aiming for solid foundations for 6max poker.
Yeah I have read that. I am mostly curious about how to compares to other courses that are more tailored to 6-max. While it is mostly Hu, Galfonds goes in depth at every spot, which might translate to 6max as well. I was wondering if anyone here has bought it and is willing to share their thoughts.
Price is 2,5K. That is a lot. It contains 73 hours of video, which makes it about 35 per hour of video. I would love this, if you could purchase selected videos.
Phil is one of the best in business imo how he approaches poker and how he explains his thinking process. But 2,5K for videos seems suitable for higher stakes players. For small stakes players, I am sure there are quiet a lot of better ways to spend money to improve.
Yeah I think it comes down to this: is the info/knowledge of the course so good that it's better to buy the course than to shot take with the 2.5k?
