PLO study group

Hey there! :)

I saw that there are some threads about NLHE study goups, but not many about PLO. I was wondering if somebody would be up for a study group for PLO. One suggestion would be using skype ofc and talking about

- certain hands
- strategy in general
- doing sweat sessions if somebody is interested in that

I used to do that form time to time with another PS member, but he is not very active on skype anymore due to exam preperations.

According to limits I am mostly a beginner and play PLO5 atm, but intend to move up as quickly as possible :)

Would be great to have somebody to talk to about PLO :)

Just leave a message here if you are interested - would be really great! :)

We had PLO Study Group in the past, but as with all the study groups it slowly died. But when it was active, I am sure it helped a lot of players. So if you find active players, I strongly suggest of using the group.

Hey Kyyberi :)

It's a pity that it died... as you said I also think that it might help a lot of player, especially at the micros, if you discuss certain hands together and do sweat sessions ect.

Guess you dont really want to join a study group as you are a coach at PS?
I also read your blog and saw that you playing at PLO5 atm, but I guess it's not your main limit...

So, if anybody is interested -> feel welcome to leave a message here :)

I was in the study group from the beginning to the end (I think it still exists, no one just have said anything for a long time). I like helping people out, but now I don't really have that much time.

I can say that talking about poker with equalish level players really helps a lot. I hope other PLO players contact you and you can form the group.

And if an admin is around, this should be moved to Omaha section, please. :)

Alright - hope that too :)

Oh sorry, I thought it suited here fine because of the other study group threads.

Hey guys,

Normally the 'Learning to Win" board is an ideal place to advertise study groups. However, it will eventually get swallowed up by the NLHE ones.

So as per Kyyberi's suggestion, I shall move this to "Omaha".

Regards

Laz

Well, PLO is far less popular among Pokerstrategists than among the reg population in whole, Skod and Kyy are trying to spark the interest (hat off to them) but little can two people do... As a fish who's played over 200K PLO hands, I certainly know somewhat motivated microstake players out there, and a bunch of helpful low stake players, though I haven't been following groups lately, except one that's almost dead (but really big). Add and message me in the com tool if interested.

I surely would like to join. Have just recently started to focus on PLO, so I'm at the micro stakes now. I send a friend request.

Just wanted to give a short update on the size of our study group / players:

- We have 4 players in the group now

- players on different limits ->

:spade: PLO2 (2 members)
:spade: PLO5 (1 member)
:spade: PLO 25 / 50 / 100 (1 member plays these stakes, mostly PLO50/100)

- We do hand analysis regularly
- A sweat session here and there :)

Guess all of us have improved (event he PLO100 dude said that there were some nice ideas )! Maybe some of you want to join as well??? I guess there is still room for some players :)

Just leave a comment here or write me a PM!
