I am a bit confused.
I just foldet A high on a 8888x board, because your are supposed to use 2 hole cards. I'm really uncertain, if I folded the best hand.
Can anyone give me a definite answer on this, a source would be nice, too.

It would be nice if you could show us this exact hand but I will try to help you anyway. 
Let's say the board is 8♣:8♦:8♥:8♠:K♥: and you have A♦:2♣:4♦:6♥:In this case, your hand is 8♣:8♦:8♥:A♦:6♥:
Hands beating you are:
any pair (e.g. 4♠:4♥:5♥:6♣: )
A7xx+ (e.g. A♠:7♥:5♠:6♦: )
You win with worse Aces (e.g. A♠:3♥:5♠:4♠: )
You split with A6 (e.g. A♠:2♥:3♠:6♦: )

You have to use exactly two hole cards, no more, no less. For example any pocket pair would've been better hand at that point.

When I see these statements yet only play 2PLO it makes me want to cry:deadhappy: .But yes, some of the calls down and then to shoves on the river when people think they have housed up is real fun.
