I am having an error which won't let the newer Elephant beta conect to postgres
I didnt have any problems installing 6.7 but when i uninstal 6.7 and instal 6.8 it wont even reconize that postgresSQL is on

I had the same problem, had to reload Postgress and now it works fine.

i got it to reconize the database now but I am having problems with the HUD not displaying... I know how to set elephant up as I used it before. The problem is that it is importing hands but everything else is empty like hands, analysis and overview tabs.
Sounds like your screen name is not properly configured.
Please first upgrade to this new version:

Stick to the manual (deinstallation first!)
Then make sure you setup the screen names correctly in settings => sites
