It is possible to deselect both options in Main Menu -> HUD Settings -> HUD Settings.
As a side note: Both options crashed my Full Tilt room when I activated the HUD. (video adapter Hardware Acceleration is enabled and set to full)

You are able to deactivate the hud if it is causing crashes on your pc.
Please be sure that you sue the newest elephant version.
